Dr. Sledge Nana Yaw Duodu is a Ghanaian from Kibi Asikame (Eastern Region). A Husband, a Father, a mentor and seasoned entrepreneur, Dr. Sledge is building and changing the perception of West Africa's Small-Scale Gold Mining Sector through the establishment of Goldridge, a group of companies operating in the precious metals industry comprised of: Goldridge Ghana Limited, a wholly owned Ghanaian licensed Gold Buyer and Exporter, Goldridge Refinery, a precious metals refinery being built in Accra, Ghana, Goldridge Bullion Trading LLC, a Dubai gold trading company and Goldridge LLC, a Dubai gold investment company.

Being a multi-faceted entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience, Dr. Sledge is the Founder and CEO of Goldridge and Silver City Real Estate; both thriving, and emerging business groups, engaged in multi-disciplinary activities in various regions. He serves as a Board Member of Shanti Corp, and Magnate Holding Company in Hong Kong. Dr. Sledge is a partner in Goldridge Equipment, a Joint Venture between Goldride Ghana and HMD Africa, the leading heavy machine and equipment supplier in West Africa of the Doosan brand. He holds a PHD in Administrative Engineering from Constantinian University in Rome and an Undergraduate Degree in Business Marketing from the Constantinian University in the UK

Mining

Dr. Sledge is on a quest to reshape the Small-Scale Gold Mining and Trading sector throughout West Africa starting in his home country, Ghana. To achieve this he is working with all parties that have a vested interest in the gold sector; Miners, Government Agencies, and End Buyers, all while protecting the environment by promoting responsible, environmentally friendly mining. In 2020, he entered into a strategic partnership with the Ghana National Association of Small-Scale Miners.

Under this partnership, Goldridge is providing miners with all the support needed to efficiently mine and increase their production of Gold using environmentally friendly mining techniques. This support will include Washing, Assaying, and Smelting Services along with Machinery, Equipment Leasing, Fuel Support, and Micro Financing Services.

Dr. Sledge is certain that this unique formula will provide the support needed for success and that this mode will be implemented in Resource Rich Regional Countries of Africa.

Green Gold

Dr. Sledge's love for the environment and his push to eradicate the use of Mercury by Small Scale Miners has earned him recognitions, including the UN Ambassador for Zero Mercury in Gold Mining

GOLDRIDGE REFINERY

As President and CEO of Goldridge Ghana Limited, Dr. Sledge is spearheading the rapid development of the second largest international standard gold refinery on the continent of Africa, with a refining capacity of 500 kilos of gold per day. The refinery will utilize state of the art technology to meet the stringent international standards set by the London Bullion Market Associate (LBMA).

GOLD TRADING

Dr. Sledge has built and solidified his position in Ghana's gold sector by turning Goldridge Ghana into the largest, wholly owned, Ghanaian exporter shipping in excess of 1.1 tons of gold in 2019. In 2020, he was given a contract from Bank of Ghana to be the sole purchasing agent to source and buy locally mined gold for the government. He was able to achieve these feats because of his bold vision, enterprising spirit and ruthless determination for the development of his country. He opened up new export markets by going international with a current book of clients in Dubai, Turkey, Hong Kong, Italy, India, Portugal and soon to be Bank of Ghana.
